Last Vacuum Demos is the first in what Wagon is calling their limited series, which is attempting to establish itself as a limited edition vinyl series documenting underground music (artists slated for further releases include Lilypad, Headboggle, and more). Put together very nicely, in a very small run of 200 hand numbered copies on cardboard sleeves with white labels.
Those familiar with other Outer Space material know what they are getting into here. It can be summed up most concisely as, well, being in outer space. This is cosmic music, in a different world than something like his Imaginary Softwoods material. Whereas much of that is based on minimal sonics, here the sound is far more aggressive. A lot of “wet” electronics, with plenty of lasers and other sounds floating around. Maximialist drone, or something.
